Kim K "Balmain" Inspired DIY

It's no secret that the kardashians are some of the biggest fashion icons of our time, This last week there was literally a fashion show for the world to see, with the whole Kimye Wedding event happening.I was just as obsessed as you were! Through out all of the amazing pictures posted, there was one that truly stood out to me, It was the Balmain dress that Kim Kardashian wore on her GNO in Paris. Balmain is a Parisian Fashion House that has offered the most luxurious, opulent designs since the 1940's. Obviously to replicate one would be really expensive, BUT I thought it be fun to try and create an inspired look, with a few simple items, this whole project cost me under $40. I hope you enjoy this DIY, this week I skipped the beauty and Sin city musts, Since this video took most of my afternoons...I really hope you ENJOY!

Ninety nine $cent$ DIY

So, as I was walking thru the aisle at the $.99 cent only store, mostly trying to avoid the candy aisle, But mainly there on business....I came across this Door mat, it was one of those woven ones, that looked like a macrame project from back in the day, But the colors were so vibrant and modern, That I immediately picked it up, and thought shoot it's only $.99 cents....I'll find something to make out of it. Flash forward to this post, I found some old wooden purse handles in my craft room, and it hit me, this door mat would make a great summer clutch! Before you press play, don't forget about my Sinful Must have and Beauty Must try, Also this project requires some hand stitching, So visit this youtube video to learn a basic stitch and knotting technique---->Sewing by Hand Tutorial

Beauty must try:
I'm a beauty box junky! I currently subscribe to a couple of different beauty companies, I think it's an awesome way to try new beauty products you'd probably never try otherwise for less money! One of the boxes that came in a few months ago arrived with this tube of cream that read Caviar CC cream, I tested it out.......and  my Beauty Must try was born! This is amazing stuff that you HAVE TO try! It's the Caviar CC Cream for hair by Alterna, It made my hair smell good, soft, full and healthier looking, I have long thick hair, but with age it has felt a bit thinner and duller...So I'm telling you this product has helped tremendously! The link to buy it is below...Try it!

Sinful Must Have:

I feel like I'm last on the bandwagon, I'd heard so many things about Baby Stacks Cafe, a pretty new Breakfast & lunch spot here in Sin City, I'd also heard their specialty was the red velvet pancakes with cream cheese syrup, So we had to go see what all the fuss was about, we ordered a typical egg breakfast, along with the RV pancakes, and they were good. BUT!!!!! The banana pancakes were AMAZING, HEAVENLY, just PERFECTION.This is all coming from a girl that likes pancakes,But not too often. This might all change thanks to Baby Stacks, My mouth thanks you, while my hips hate you, oh well it's a never ending battle between those two, I'm excited to go back and try the rocky road Pancakes next time,.....This local GEM is my Sinful MUST TRY.

Printed Joggers made Chic

I'm pretty much open to any Fashion trends that seem to come back around, The printed Jogger pant is no exception...Thinking about it in the late 80's early 90's the jogger was around, yet it seemed a bit less polished. Today, by simply adding a feminine lace top, killer heels & a messenger bag, you can turn this ultra urban style into that of a City chic Fashionista.

My full outfit is from Patty's Closet, the Shoes and joggers are still available..The bag, I found at a Ross in Hawaii...Take a look at the shopping guide to find the links.

                                                          Sinful Must Have:

You all know I'm a sucker for sweets, But this time I fell head over heels for a sweet that's NOT edible! While I was visiting our fellow neighbors in the shopping mall that one of our stores is located in, I finally had the chance to go into this shop called "Sweet Bubble" Let me tell you how amazed I was, they have gourmet soaps, bath confections, body whips...AGH! The smell was incredible, the look of the products....Simply delicious.....all these soaps and bath bombs come shaped as cupcakes, macarons & cake slices! This is definitely a MUST visit place if you live here, or are just visiting Sincity. They have 2 locations, Townsquare & Boca Park...Best Part, It's locally owned, we all know how important it is to support local businesses! It's just a perfect place to buy a gift...enough chit chat, Take a look for yourself.

I purchased a sprinkle donut soap, a Macaron Soap & received a complimentary slice of cake bubble bath bomb for review...the bubble bath bomb was AHmazing! We have an extra large roman tub so this really came in handy for a nice fragrant relaxing bubble bath. YOU NEED TO GO GET SOME....NOW!

Beauty Must Try:

So I've realized the only other addiction that compares to my shoe addiction is my love for Lippies, gloss, pots, tubes I love them ALL! I recently saw some Instagrammers posting these L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paints and I was intrigued, So I ordered 5 colors....My Verdict: TRY IT! I'm obsessed, they are super glossy, pigmented, Cruelty free & at $4 a pop, you can't go wrong!

What I Heart in Hawaii

I'm truly lucky to have a job where I get to travel to places such as Hawaii for work, I took a quick trip to Oahu this past week, to check up on a new Patty's Closet location that will be opening soon! and even though it was super quick, I did get to take my friend who accompanied me to some of our favorite spots....I also brought my camera along,so I could share it with you and Hopefully when you are in the 808 you can check out some of these gems,ENJOY. PS.Don't forget to check out my Beauty try, It's only $.99!
I seriously love packing maxi dresses when traveling to Hawaii, they're  an easy way to look dressed up with out over packing! Although this is a dress we used to carry at Patty's Closet, I will post a link to piperlime, who carries some dresses that are similar to this one...which BTW I got TONS of compliments on, so much so that my friend was making fun of me.

Waikiki is pretty much considered like "the strip" of Oahu, and when it comes to shopping they have it covered, They actually just got an H&M on Waikiki....as well as a Vivienne Westwood location, some of these stores are setup so beautifully it     truly inspires me with our own stores.

Macy's Waikiki

Now the food, That's a whole other story...If you ever make it to Oahu, You NEED to visit 2 places for some YUMMY treats!
1. The infamous Giovanni's Shrimp truck...we've all seen it on Ice loves coco, The real Housewives of OC......It's literally the best food truck meal you'll EVER have. This delish Gem is located on the North shore, so If you're staying on Waikiki, it will be  bit of a drive...But well worth it!
The menu consists of 4 items, so you can't go wrong, I LOVE the scampi! Garlic buttered shrimp, over white rice and more chopped garlic, DROOL.
2.Diamond Head Market & Grill....We were introduced to this hidden Gem by one of our Hawaii Franchisees, they have tons of great salads, snacks, pastries...BUT, It's seriously Home of the BEST scone I've EVER tried, This time they had Blueberry, Cranberry orange & Banana....My favorite is always banana, it's this HUGE yummy banana cream cheese cake like scone....Drool AGAIN.

$.99 Beauty Must:
I am a lipstick hoarder, there I said it...BUT,I felt no quilt when I purchased this L.A Colors lipstick at dollar tree, OK... I bought 5, so technically I spent $5.... I couldn't pick between all the spring colors, and I love that you can use it as a satin sheen or add gloss for some shine, so you actually get 2 for 1! You might have to check several Dollar trees, since they don't always have the same inventory, all in all the Verdict: get it! it's cheap,& comes in great shades.
