I'm a sucker for recycling items, especially when it has to do with closet organization and after I kept eyeing this black filing cabinet in our garage every time we came home, The light bulb finally turned on in my head and I thought..."This could work as additional storage in my closet" BUT I needed to oomph it up a bit. So here's what I did:

You'll need painters tape, Spray Paint & a decent file cabinet.
(TIP: check out your local Thrift store for a used file cabinet, you're gonna paint it, so you don't need to spend on a new one.)
I used the tape to create stripes all around my file cabinet, then I proceeded to spray paint the un-taped
area.

Once the cabinet was dry, I stored my clutches on the bottom two drawers and I also have a pretty large collection of belts, so I thought adding a couple of sock or lingerie drawer organizers that I found at Homegoods for $4.99 would work perfectly to store my belt collection, see for yourself!

I placed it sideways in my closet because I liked the look better, also you can use the tag holders on each drawer and label your drawers too, or you can use magnets to hang inspired looks or personal pics, the possibilities are truly endless when you let your creativity juices flowing! I really loved the end result and hoped to have inspired you through this post! Thanks for keeping up with me, XO.

BA Star Tropical Palette review

I have to be honest, I never really started using makeup until I was in my early 20's! I always thought that women who knew how to use that makeup brush were just amazing! So getting the chance to review makeup products, present a whole new challenge for me, Since I'm not as skilled as most out there....With that said, I recently received a shadow palette from BA Star for review, at first sight....It came with very bright and vivid colors, perfect summer colors, Lime, Turquoise, Purple, Hot Pink & Silver!
Now from what I learned BA STAR is a company that have cosmetics designed by makeup professionals, catering to professional dancers, cheer teams...etc. So this stuff is serious business!
The BA STAR Tropical palette came with a long lasting glue base, for those super hot days.

Overall, I liked this Palette, although I admit that I was a tad overwhelmed with the bright colors....BUT as you can see it came out to be a beautiful daytime look! PS I didn't use the glue it came with...although I think It would be perfect for those humid muggy nights in Hawaii, My dress and hair accessory is from Patty's Closet, My lip color is the Nyx cosmetics nude matte gloss, My bag is a Vintage find from Portland. If your interested in getting this BA STAR Palette, visit their website www.bastar.com Thanks Again for Keeping up with me! XO (This was a sponsored post)

Kim Kimble Hair Roller Review

I vividly remember the anticipation of a special family event approaching when we were kids, and my mom always prepped us by putting those foam pink curlers in our hair. She would always tells us, they would help her get us ready faster the next day, without causing damaging to our hair with heat tools.

Remember these? I'm sure you do.

I recently came across these Silk Covered Hair Rollers by Kim Kimble Beauty Products, they are silk covered and helps maintain healthy looking hair by minimizing friction and preventing natural oils from depleting. These Kim Kimble curlers are supposed to give you a shinier, healthier curl...So I really wanted to test them out, just like the old days.

Kim Kimble has recently come out with some new hair products.I received a sample of the silk rollers with a slumber cap, the packaging is great at first sight, especially for me since I travel often, they come in this plastic zip up bag for easy travel!

I started with clean hair, added a bit of hair product, like a a shine serum, which Kim Kimble beauty also carries. Next, I brushed it out thoroughly, once it was dry ( I like to air dry my hair when time permits) I parted my hair on one side, like so.

The rollers themselves, are smooth and silky. The system and application works like the old school ones, you basically roll up and snap.

I have to be honest , I wasn't a big fan of the slumber cap...I felt like there was no way I could get a good night sleep with rollers & the cap on, Plus I would probably scare the hubby out of bed with it on! Off I went to bed, the following morning I took the rollers out and my hair looked something like this....

Yes, I know...I look like I just woke up, It's because I just did. As you can see the curls are pretty tight, So I brushed my fingers through the curls. styled it to one side and used a bit of hairspray....Check out the results, what do you think?

I have to say, overall these rollers offered me more than a bit of nostalgia, they allowed be to have some extra free time in the morning, and they did give my hair beautiful curls with lots of shine! I give these rollers 2 thumbs up, and what's even better as a reader you get a discount when you purchase the Kim Kimble products! Shop for Kim Kimble products here.
